What is Polymer Shredding & Granulation?
Like manufacturers of al most every product, processesors of polymers and manufacturers of polymer based products create a small amount of waste products or trim and off-cuts.
In the past, these by-products would likely have found their way into land fill or general waste. With the growing re-use and recycling industries, the vast majority of polymer waste products can now be re-processed back into saleable products.
As this recycling supply chain becomes more sophisticated, polymer recyclers often push the first stages of recycling down the supply chain to the original manufacturers of products. This is true of the rotational moulding industry. Polymer recyclers are becoming less and less likely to take polymer off-cuts and starting to insist on already partially re-processed or 'granulated' products.
